Pengaruh Lingkungan Kerja dan Motivasi Kerja terhadap Kinerja Guru di SMA Negeri 8 Gowa

Abstract
This research is motivated by the importance of teacher performance in improving the quality of education. In practice, teacher performance does not stand alone but is influenced by various factors, including the work environment and work motivation. However, in reality, teacher performance is still found to be less than optimal. In addition, the results of previous studies also show inconsistencies regarding the influence of these two variables, so further research is needed. This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment on teacher performance, the influence of work motivation on teacher performance, and the influence of the work environment and work motivation simultaneously on teacher performance at SMA Negeri 8 Gowa. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal explanatory research design. The population in this study were all 63 teachers at SMA Negeri 8 Gowa, with a sampling technique using nonprobability sampling with a saturated sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics 24 and Microsoft Excel 2016 software applications, through classical assumption tests (normality test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity), t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). The results of the study indicate that the work environment and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, both partially and simultaneously. This indicates that the better the work environment and the higher the work motivation, the better the teacher performance at SMA Negeri 8 Gowa will be.
