Publication Ethics
Ethical Guidelines for SINOMIKA JOURNAL: An Adaptation of COPE's Code of Conduct
The Editors of SINOMIKA JOURNAL are committed to ensuring the implementation of all managerial procedures to create an objective intellectual process. Editors and Reviewers evaluate manuscripts without considering ethnicity, religion, race, or social group. Every manuscript submitted will first be checked for relevance to the journal's scope, and plagiarism will be examined.
Author's Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring the originality and novelty of the submitted manuscript.

Must not reproduce previously published work in other journals.

Must not submit a manuscript that is currently under review or being processed by SINOMIKA JOURNAL to other journals simultaneously.

Can only publish the manuscript after a formal rejection from SINOMIKA JOURNAL or after a formal manuscript withdrawal request is accepted by SINOMIKA JOURNAL.

Must inform the Editor or Journal Manager if there is an error in the published manuscript so it can be corrected or retracted promptly.

Must make a significant contribution and be accountable for any deficiencies in the work produced.
Reviewer’s Responsibilities

Must set aside personal interests before agreeing to review a manuscript.

Has the right to refuse to review a manuscript due to insufficient knowledge or potential conflicts of interest.

Must review all manuscripts objectively, fairly, and professionally.

Must report any ethical violations found and inform the Editor for further action.

Must ensure the originality of the manuscript and be vigilant against plagiarism and exaggerated publications.

Must not discuss the manuscript content without permission.

Must adhere to the allocated time for the review process. Any request for an extension should be considered by the Editor.
Editor’s Responsibilities

Actively contribute to the development and improvement of the journal.

Serve as an ambassador for SINOMIKA JOURNAL.

Continuously support and publish SINOMIKA JOURNAL.

Review all assigned work.
Editor-in-Chief's Responsibilities

Evaluate manuscripts fairly and solely based on intellectual merit.

Ensure confidentiality of the manuscript and not disclose any information about the manuscript to anyone other than those involved in the publication process.

Responsible for determining articles and publication timing.

Actively seek feedback from Editors, Reviewers, and Authors on how to improve the journal’s image and visibility.

Provide clear instructions to contributors regarding manuscript submission processes and expectations.

Ensure the selection and detection of the appropriate reviewers for the review process.
Plagiarism Check
All manuscripts submitted will first undergo a plagiarism check using software such as Plagiarism Checker X, iThenticate, or other plagiarism detection tools by the authors themselves.
Reference Management
Articles submitted to SINOMIKA JOURNAL are advised to use reference management tools such as APA, Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
Article Withdrawal
Authors are not permitted to cancel or withdraw their manuscripts once submitted, as doing so wastes the valuable time and effort of the editor and reviewer, as well as the resources invested by the journal management.
If the author still insists on withdrawing the article during the peer-review process, a penalty of IDR 1,000,000 (one million rupiah) per manuscript will be charged as compensation to the journal management. Article withdrawals due to acceptance by another journal are subject to a penalty of IDR 2,000,000 (two million rupiah) per manuscript. Article withdrawals can only be made after the penalty is paid. If the author refuses to pay the fine, the author and their affiliation will be banned from publishing in SINOMIKA JOURNAL.
Authors found to engage in double publication will be reported to the ANJANI website and blacklisted from SINOMIKA JOURNAL.
Article Revision
Authors are not allowed to revise an article that has already been published. If the author wishes to revise the article in full, a fine of IDR 300,000 must be paid to request the .doc file from the journal editor. The revision is limited to the number of pages of the already published article, and revisions to the title, abstract, and references are not allowed.
