Copyright Notice

By submitting an article to Jurnal Ilmu Psikologi dan Kesehatan (SIKONTAN), authors agree to the following terms regarding the copyright and licensing of their work. This notice outlines the rights retained by the authors, as well as the usage rights granted to the journal and the public.

1. Copyright Ownership

  • Authors Retain Copyright: Authors retain the copyright to their work upon publication in SIKONTAN. Authors are free to reuse their work in any other context, provided that they give appropriate citation to SIKONTAN as the original place of publication.

2. License for Publication

  • Creative Commons License (CC BY 4.0): Upon publication, authors grant SIKONTAN a license to publish their article under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This means that:

    • Others can copy, distribute, and display the article.

    • Others can create derivative works, including adaptations, for any purpose, even commercially.

    • Users must give appropriate credit to the author(s) by citing the article as specified by SIKONTAN.

3. Rights of the Journal

  • As part of the publishing agreement, SIKONTAN holds the right to:

    • Publish and distribute the article freely and openly via its website and other platforms where it may be indexed.

    • Promote the article across academic and research platforms.

    • Archive and preserve the article for long-term access.

4. Author’s Rights

  • Authors are free to:

    • Retain the right to reuse their article for academic and professional purposes, such as presentations, publications, and course materials.

    • Deposit the published version of the article in repositories or share it in institutional archives, in compliance with the CC BY license.

    • Use the article in any future work, including derivative works, without any restrictions, as long as proper attribution is provided to the original publication in SIKONTAN.

5. Prohibited Uses

  • Authors and third parties must not use the article in ways that imply endorsement by SIKONTAN or the authorship of the article unless such an endorsement is explicitly provided.

  • Authors or others may not use the article in any way that violates the laws of copyright, trademark, or any other intellectual property rights.

6. Reproduction and Distribution

  • The journal allows authors and third parties to reproduce, distribute, and transmit the article, provided that they credit the authors and SIKONTAN appropriately and adhere to the CC BY terms.

  • Authors are also permitted to republish or translate the article, as long as proper acknowledgment is made to SIKONTAN as the original source of publication.

7. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

  • By agreeing to publish with SIKONTAN, authors acknowledge any applicable Article Processing Charges (APCs) that will be levied upon acceptance of their article. The fees are used to support the journal’s operations and open-access initiatives.

8. No Fees for Readers

  • The journal is fully open access. There are no subscription or access fees for readers to view the article in its entirety, ensuring that the article is freely available to a global audience.
