Advertising Policy
The Journal of Psychology and Health Sciences (SIKONTAN) is committed to maintaining the highest academic standards, ethical integrity, and the credibility of the content published. As such, we have established the following advertising policy to ensure that advertisements do not compromise the journal's content or its reputation.
1. Nature of Advertising
SIKONTAN accepts advertisements that are relevant to the academic and professional interests of its readership, including but not limited to:
-
Academic conferences, workshops, and seminars related to psychology and health sciences.
-
Professional services, such as psychological assessments, clinical tools, or health-related resources.
-
Publishing services, including calls for submissions, book announcements, and job opportunities in the field.
-
Relevant software or technological innovations beneficial to psychology and health research.
-
Educational programs or degree offerings in related fields.
Note: SIKONTAN will not accept advertisements for products or services that are unrelated to the academic, psychological, or health science fields or that may present conflicts of interest or ethical concerns.
2. Editorial Independence
To maintain the journal’s editorial integrity, advertisements will be kept separate from editorial content. Advertisements will not influence the journal’s academic, scientific, or editorial policies. All advertising content will be clearly labeled as advertisements and will not be confused with peer-reviewed articles or research.
-
Placement: Ads will not be placed within or between scientific articles. They will be clearly demarcated in separate sections or pages (e.g., sidebar, page footers, or dedicated advertising sections).
-
Content Control: The editorial board reserves the right to review all advertisements before they are accepted for publication to ensure they align with the journal's standards and objectives.
3. Approval Process for Advertisements
All advertisements must be submitted for approval before publication in the journal. The process for submitting an advertisement is as follows:
-
Submission: Advertisers must submit their materials to the editorial office via the designated online platform or email.
-
Review: The journal’s editorial team will review the advertisement to ensure it complies with the journal’s ethical standards and relevance to the readership.
-
Approval: Once approved, the advertiser will be notified, and the ad will be scheduled for publication in the next issue or issue(s) as agreed.
-
Rejection: The journal reserves the right to reject any advertisement that does not meet our standards or that could undermine the journal’s academic integrity.
4. Conflicts of Interest
The journal will not accept advertisements from companies or organizations with potential conflicts of interest that could impact the objectivity of the journal’s content. For example, we will not accept advertisements for products that could directly conflict with published research or articles in the same issue or area of study.
-
Transparency: Advertisers must disclose any affiliations, financial interests, or conflicts of interest related to their products or services in their advertising submission.
-
Content: Advertisements must not mislead or make unsubstantiated claims. All advertisements must comply with legal and ethical standards regarding truth in advertising.
5. Advertisement Frequency
Advertisements will not be excessively placed, and the frequency of ads in any given issue will be carefully controlled to avoid cluttering the journal and detracting from its academic focus.
-
Limitation: A reasonable number of ads will be included in each issue, ensuring that they complement, rather than overshadow, the scholarly content.
6. Non-endorsement Policy
The Journal of Psychology and Health Sciences (SIKONTAN) does not endorse any product, service, or organization that advertises in its pages. The acceptance of an advertisement does not imply the journal’s endorsement of the advertiser’s products or services.
-
Disclaimer: All advertisements will include a disclaimer stating that the journal does not necessarily endorse the advertised product or service, and that the views or claims presented in the advertisement are those of the advertiser.
7. Rates and Terms
The rates for advertising in the journal will be determined based on the format, placement, and frequency of the ad. The advertising team will provide a media kit upon request, outlining advertising options and costs. All advertisers will be required to agree to the journal’s advertising terms and conditions before placing an ad.
-
Billing: Advertisers will be billed upon confirmation of the ad’s publication. Payments must be made within the specified timeframe.
-
Discounts: Bulk discounts or special rates may be offered for long-term advertising agreements.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Advertisers must adhere to all applicable data protection and privacy regulations when collecting or using personal information in connection with their ads. The Journal of Psychology and Health Sciences (SIKONTAN) will not share or sell any personal data related to advertising transactions.
-
Confidentiality: Any information provided by advertisers will be treated confidentially and will not be shared without prior consent, except as necessary for processing the ad placement.
9. Digital Advertising
For online issues or digital formats of the journal, advertisements may include interactive media, such as banner ads or clickable links, as long as they comply with the journal’s standards.
-
Ad Formats: Advertisements in the digital version of the journal may include graphics, videos, or other media, provided they are non-intrusive and maintain the professional tone of the publication.
-
Tracking: Advertisers may request tracking data (e.g., click-through rates) but must ensure that all data collection complies with privacy regulations.
