Article Prosessing Charge
In order to support the sustainability of the journal and cover the costs associated with the editorial and publishing process, Jurnal Ilmu Psikologi dan Kesehatan (SIKONTAN) applies an Article Processing Charge (APC). This fee is charged to authors upon acceptance of their manuscript for publication.
1. Amount of APC
The Article Processing Charge (APC) for each accepted article is Rp350,000 (Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Rupiah). This fee covers various costs associated with the publishing process, including but not limited to:
-
Peer review management
-
Copyediting and formatting of the manuscript
-
Online publication and hosting fees
-
Archiving and preservation of published articles
-
Promotion and dissemination of the article to academic databases and repositories
2. When is the APC Charged?
The APC is charged after an article has been accepted for publication following the peer review process. Authors will be notified of the fee upon acceptance, and payment must be made before the article is published online.
3. Waivers and Discounts
SIKONTAN recognizes that the APC may pose a financial burden for some authors, particularly those from low-income institutions or countries. As such:
-
Waivers or discounts may be granted on a case-by-case basis, depending on the author’s financial circumstances. Authors may request a waiver or discount by contacting the editorial team at the time of submission or after acceptance.
-
The editorial team will review each request and determine whether a waiver or discount can be granted, in line with the journal’s commitment to promoting access to high-quality research.
4. Payment Process
-
Payment can be made via bank transfer or other available payment methods, as detailed in the acceptance letter.
-
Authors will receive a payment receipt upon completion of the transaction.
-
Invoices will be provided upon request for institutional or administrative purposes.
5. Exemptions
-
Authors from institutions or countries with special agreements or partnerships with SIKONTAN may be exempt from the APC. Please refer to the journal’s partnership agreements for more details.
-
In some cases, certain article types (such as editorials, letters to the editor, or invited reviews) may be exempt from the APC. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the editorial board.
6. Refund Policy
Once an article is published, the APC is non-refundable. However, in the rare case that a manuscript is retracted due to an editorial or publishing error, the APC will be refunded.
