SIWAYANG JOURNAL: Publikasi Ilmiah Bidang Pariwisata, Kebudayaan, dan Antropologi | ISSN: 2828-8823 is a peer-reviewed international journal dedicated to advancing knowledge in the fields of Tourism, Culture, and Anthropology. Published quarterly—March, June, September, and December—the journal serves as a platform for original research, comprehensive reviews, and critical discussions that highlight contemporary issues and innovative ideas within these disciplines. We welcome submissions from scholars, researchers, practitioners, and students, inviting high-quality manuscripts that contribute to the understanding of cultural dynamics, tourism practices, and anthropological insights.
Focus: The primary focus of SIWAYANG JOURNAL is to publish scholarly works that explore the interconnectedness of tourism and culture through an interdisciplinary lens. The journal aims to:
- Provide a platform for innovative and critical academic discussions regarding contemporary issues in tourism and culture.
- Delve into anthropological insights that enrich the understanding of social and cultural practices related to tourism.
- Foster interdisciplinary research that examines the impacts of tourism on cultural dynamics.
Scope: SIWAYANG JOURNAL welcomes manuscripts that encompass, but are not limited to, the following topics:
- Tourism Studies: Analysis of tourism trends and policies, tourist behavior, destination management, and innovation in the tourism industry.
- Culture: Exploration of cultural interactions, cultural heritage, identity, traditions, and the impact of globalization on local cultures.
- Anthropology: Research on human experiences and perspectives within cultural and social contexts, as well as field studies focusing on social practices in tourism.
- Sustainability: Research on sustainable tourism, cultural conservation, and the socio-economic impacts of tourism.
- Technology and Innovation: Examination of the impact of modern technology on tourism and cultural interactions, as well as digital phenomena in the tourism experience.
Current Issue

In Volume 4, No. 1 (2025) themed: "The Intersection of Culture, Spirituality, and Tourism in a Global Context" consisting of five articles authored by 8 contributors from various esteemed institutions, including the Ain Shams University, Egypt; Universitas Tulungagung, Indonesia; UIN Antasari Banjarmasin, Indonesia; AsanSka University College of Design and Technology, Ghana; Department of Social Science, Friedensau Adventist University, Germany; Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia; and Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Indonesia.
