SIWAYANG JOURNAL is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in the publication of its articles. Our publication ethics are designed to ensure the integrity, transparency, and quality of our journal. Authors’ Responsibilities:
- Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that their work is original and does not plagiarize other authors' work. Proper citation must be made for any materials or ideas taken from other sources.
- Research Integrity: Authors are expected to present accurate research findings and describe their methodologies clearly. Any fabrication or falsification of data is strictly prohibited.
- Authorship: All authors listed on a manuscript must have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. All those who have made substantial contributions should be listed as co-authors.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence their research findings or interpretation.
- Ethical Approval: Research involving human or animal subjects must have received appropriate ethical approval and should adhere to legal and institutional requirements.
Reviewers’ Responsibilities:
- Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents. They should not disclose any information about the manuscript or discuss it with others.
- Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, and reviewers must provide constructive feedback to the authors. Personal criticism is not acceptable.
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should declare any conflicts of interest that could affect their impartiality during the review process.
Editors’ Responsibilities:
- Fairness and Impartiality: Editors must handle manuscripts fairly and without bias, ensuring that the review process is conducted impartially based on the manuscript’s merits.
- Confidentiality: Editors must ensure that the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review process.
- Decision Making: Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the quality and originality of the work and the feedback received from reviewers.
- Corrections and Retractions: Editors must take appropriate action when ethical breaches are identified, including issuing corrections or retractions when necessary.
