Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve the knowledge and skills of local micro, small, and medium enterprise actors in implementing inventory management strategies to support operational efficiency. The main problems faced by the partners included irregular stock recording, the absence of minimum inventory limits, and purchasing decisions that were still based on estimation rather than inventory data. The activity was conducted through initial observation, partner needs identification, inventory management training, simple stock card practice, mentoring, and evaluation. The results showed that participants gained a better understanding of the importance of recording incoming and outgoing goods, controlling stock, and planning purchases based on business needs. Participants were also able to prepare simple stock cards as practical tools to identify actual inventory levels and determine appropriate reorder times. This activity provides practical contributions to strengthening the managerial capacity of small businesses, particularly in reducing the risks of overstocking and stock shortages, minimizing cost inefficiencies, and improving business process continuity. Therefore, simple inventory management strategies can serve as an applicable solution to enhance operational efficiency and support the sustainability of local enterprises.
