This study aims to examine the political strategy of the Andi Syukri Tammalele and Andi Rita (AST-RITA) ticket in winning the 2024 Majene Regional Election. This topic was chosen because it involves an incumbent running again and achieving a landslide victory in a contest between two pairs of candidates. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical methods, where data is obtained through interviews with elements of the campaign team at various levels. The results show that AST-RITA's victory was supported by three main strengths: strategic selection of representatives, consolidation of the campaign team down to the village level, and utilization of local social and bureaucratic networks. Within the framework of political opportunities, this pair was able to read the situation and exploit available power gaps, including the appointment of an acting village head as a node of influence. This strategy demonstrates that the incumbent's victory is not solely determined by financial strength or popularity, but also by the ability to build a political network responsive to local dynamics. These findings are important for enriching the study of electoral politics in rural areas and providing new insights into how political strategies and opportunities can be effectively utilized in regional election contests.
