ANALISIS ASURANSI JIWA TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN BISNIS DI INDONESIA TAHUN 2020-2022

Life insurance in Indonesia, as a non-bank financial institution, primarily aims to provide protection to the public. However, public understanding and trust in life insurance remain low. One of the main challenges is the lack of awareness regarding the benefits and claims process. This study aims to analyze how claims services and benefits paid by life insurance companies affect the growth of the insurance business in Indonesia, particularly from 2020 to 2022. The research uses descriptive analysis with statistical data sourced from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) from January 2020 to March 2023. The results show that the COVID-19 pandemic, which began in February 2020, led to an increase in claims and benefits paid by life insurance companies, although profits declined during the first few months. However, in 2021 and 2022, the life insurance industry showed significant recovery, with increased claims payments and profits, reflecting improved claims services and growing public awareness of the importance of life insurance. This study suggests that life insurance companies should continue to enhance transparency and efficiency in the claims process to maintain public trust and foster the future growth of the life insurance business.
