The journal publishes three times a year, with issues released in April, August, and December.

SATUKATA: Jurnal Sains, Teknik, dan Studi Kemasyarakatan (SATUKATA: Journal of Science, Engineering, and Society) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes high-quality, original research articles, review papers, and scholarly discussions across interdisciplinary domains encompassing science, engineering, and societal studies. The journal aims to foster integrative knowledge, bridging scientific advancement, technological innovation, and socio-cultural dynamics.

SATUKATA is published triannually, with issues released in April, August, and December. All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic integrity, methodological robustness, and scholarly contribution.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

1. Science
The journal welcomes contributions in fundamental and applied sciences, including but not limited to astronomy, biology, physics, mathematics, chemistry, geology, environmental science, and ecology. Submissions are expected to demonstrate theoretical advancement, experimental rigor, or innovative applications addressing contemporary scientific challenges.

2. Engineering
This section covers a wide range of engineering disciplines, including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, and Defense Engineering. Emphasis is placed on research that advances technology, improves systems efficiency, promotes sustainability, and addresses real-world engineering problems.

3. Society
The journal also accommodates research in social sciences and interdisciplinary societal studies, including sociology, public policy and administration, political science, anthropology, demography, human geography, communication studies, community development, criminology, and other related fields. Contributions are encouraged to explore social transformation, governance, cultural dynamics, and the societal implications of science and technology.

In addition, SATUKATA strongly encourages interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research that integrates science, engineering, and social perspectives, particularly those addressing global challenges such as sustainability, digital transformation, public health, and community resilience.
